Free State June 2008 Gr.12 Common Paper
The dates of the Free State common papers for IT June 2008:
28 May 2008: Paper 1 - Practical Time: 09:00 to 12:00 (3 hours)
30 May 2008: Paper 2 - Theory Time: 14:00 to 17:00 (3 hours)
Preparation hints:
1. Both of the exemplar papers for grade 12 are a very good example to follow.
2. Theory: Gr12 book - Part 3 - chapters 1 & 2 as well as Gr11-book Part 2 - chapters 1, 2 & 3. Also concentrate on basics of SQL
3. Practical:
• Concentrate on Database connectivity,
• Import of text files or comma delimited to Access
• Queries and SQL coding
• OOP programming - basics and text flies
• Open and read of text files
• StringGrid - two-dimensional array-input and calculations
• Forms and menus
• RichEditbox and/or memobox
